Ride for Home: A Race Weekend to Build Homes and Hope
By Lynne Williams, Executive Director, HomeAid Austin
There is a kind of roar you feel in your chest before you ever hear it. This September, that sound returns to Circuit of the Americas, and we cannot think of a better place to come together for the families in our community who are still waiting for a safe and dignified place to call home.
We are thrilled to announce Ride for Home, a three-day fundraising experience held September 11th to 13th, 2026, during the MotoAmerica race weekend at COTA. Every cheer, every ticket, and every dollar will help us build homes and hope for our neighbors, in partnership with Operation Finally Home, which provides mortgage-free homes for veterans and first responders.
This is a weekend like no other. Guests can spend it trackside in a climate-controlled VIP suite with prime viewing, meet MotoAmerica racers, walk the grid before the King of the Baggers and Superbike races, and take part in the Cardo Fan Lap. The weekend opens with an immersive art-and-moto celebration at a local Austin gallery, featuring live mural painting, custom-painted racing helmets headed for our auction, music, and motorcycles on display. It is the energy of race weekend and the heart of our mission, together in one place.
That mission is what drives everything we do. As the Charity of Choice for the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, HomeAid Austin mobilizes the building industry’s donated labor and materials to construct and renovate housing for local service providers, often at an average savings of roughly 50 percent. Since our founding, we have completed 50 housing projects, served nearly 100,000 individuals, and secured more than $2.8 million in donated labor and materials, handing each finished project to a partner who helps families find their path to independence.
Homelessness is closer than many of us think. But so is hope, and it is built one home, one neighbor, and one weekend like this at a time.
We would love for you to be part of it. Sponsorships, VIP hospitality, and tickets are available now, and there is a place at the table for everyone who wants to help a neighbor take one step closer to home.
